'Keep us in the light' is a one-of-a-kind A5 cyanotype on 250 gsm watercolour paper, with oil pastel/pencils and embroidery. I will send it packed with a hard backing for support. In order to reduce waste, I often recycle packaging. 
 
Young sunflower heads track the sun across the sky. But when they mature, they fix their faces east-ward. They have learned that light follows the dark without fail, as is the cyclic nature of things. But such a lesson is easy for the body to forget when stressed by grief and pain. In this mixed media piece I wanted to show two hands holding sunflowers up into the sky, as if dowsing for the sun in a cloudy sky, allowing the flowers to lead them in the direction of the light.
